Withern Trout Farm has Five Fly fishing lakes for Anglers to enjoy, and we can also offer the opportunity to Fly fish the half mile of river that is also available which hides some masterful Grayling as well as Brown and Rainbow Trout.

All Five lakes are stocked with Rainbow and Brown Trout, particular care being taken that the fish are fully finned and in excellent condition to give our Anglers exhilarating sport opportunities.

The Trout Farm is working daily to produce TableTrout for the retail market place. Trout eggs are delivered twice yearly where they find a new home in our Hatchery. The developing fry from these eggs will remain in constant care inside for approximately five months before they are big enough to be moved to undercover outside lanes for a further couple of months before being transfered to the outside raceways.

All the time they are growing they are being supplied water from the River Eau which flows quietly through the Farm. Visitors to the farm are welcome to purchase a bag of feed and experience feeding the trout in the raceways.

Should you wish to purchase some trout to eat please ask one of the team who will be happy to help. All fish supplied will be cleaned and gutted for you should you so wish. If you have never experienced cooking or eating Trout before please tell us and we will happily advise on different recipes and techniques to use.
