FISHING RULES

• All persons visiting the fishery do so at their own risk. We ask that you read our risk assessment,

• Withern Mill Trout Farm accept no responsibility for injury, loss or damage to persons or property, however caused.

• Anglers Must hold a current Environmental Agency Rod License, as well as the daily permit to fish these waters

• All Brown Trout must be returned

• All Trout over 5lbs must be returned

• • • • • • • All fishing must be carried out using single Barbless hooks, conventional hooks are allowed as long as barbs are removed.

            • Double, Treble, Multi hooked flies, Flicker spoons and propeller flies are not allowed.

            • We do not allow any form of two handed line retreival.

            • Snake flies are not allowed on any ticket

            • Buoyant patterns such as Boobies and Floating fry may not be used on a catch and release permit

            
            

 maximum of Three rods per angler is allowed but only one rod can be used at a time. Rods and bags must be taken with you when moving around the fishery, reserving spots is not allowed.

All fishing is to be carried out by Fly only

Any angler found fishing outside the permitted hours, taking more fish than their current permit, or taking fish by illegal methods will be prosecuted

All fish caught must be landed with a landing net, fish being kept must be dispatched quickly, fish to be returned should be handled gently preferable while still in the water. Any fish showing signs of bleeding or stress must be killed and count as part of the bag limit, Catch and release anglers are pleased asked to hand in any fish like this to fishery staff when leaving.

All fishermen must report to the Mill on arrival and purchase a day Ticket, Every fishermen must also fill out the returns book in the Mill on leaving the fishery.

The Management of Withern Mill Trout Farm reserve the right to examine and equipment ,bag, clothing or vehicle of anyone visiting the fishery.

The Management also reserve the right to expel or refuse admission to any persons as and when they deem it necessary.
